r Usman Buzdar at his office on Monday. They condemned nefarious attempts to malign the state institu
tions and expressed the commitment to counter every conspiracy.
The meeting decided indiscriminate crackdown against violators of law and the CM reiterated that the government will go to every extent to ensure the rule of law. Every
possible step will be taken to protect the life and property of the people, he added. Some elements are targeting institu
tions under a specific agenda and propaganda against the institu
tions is deplorable as well as condemnable as the country is facing numerous challenges, he emphasized. No one will be allowed to take law into his own hands and the government will continue to stand firmly with the state institutions, he added.
Federal Interior Minister maintained that there is no justification of criticism on institu
tions by some elements adding that the specific agenda of the opposition, aimed at making the institutions
controversial, has been exposed. The opposition is bent upon defaming the country through its anti-Pakistan narrative, he deplored. Legal action will be initiated against those levelling accusa
tions against the institutions, he added.

tions are not well-wishers of the country and the opposition is trying to finagle its wicked designs by making the institu

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Buzdar said that no corona patient died during the last 24 hours in Punjab while 129 new cases have been reported. In a statement, the CM stated that the number of active patients is 1689 while 96012 have been recovered. 9325 have been tested during the last 24 hours while 2240 have, so far, died of corona in Punjab, he added. The CM also appealed to the citizens to follow corona SOPs to avoid any further spread of this virus.

tions to improve the agriculture sector according to national needs.
The chief minister directed to constitute a s
pecial committee for the promotion of the agriculture sector. This committee will submit a comprehensive plan in the next 10 days and decisions will be made in the light of the proposed roadmap.
Addressing the meeting, the CM emphasized the agri. sector is the linchpin of the national economy adding that it has a lot of potential for multifarious growth. The government will take every step to develop agriculture on modern lines as the growth of this sector is directly linked with the adoption of the latest technology, he said. Use of latest agro-based technology is the need of the hour, the CM added.
Similarly, Usman Buzdar emphasized the role and importance of agri. research needs no introduction and Pakistan can deal with emerging food-related challenges by modernizing the agri. research according to the rising needs of the country. Punjab is an agrarian province and the development of the agriculture sector will strengthen the national economy along with making the farmers prosperous, concluded the chief minister.
